The gallery’s concept originates from the owners desire to provide a venue for Tasmania’s highly talented artists to showcase their work. Each exhibition lasts for 2 months and includes a number of different artists. This rotational aspect not only allows the gallery to maintain a degree of “freshness” in its displays but also provides ALL of the artists in the queue the opportunity to show their work. Because the gallery is but one of three attractions (on a major tourist route), a small commission is taken on sales. This creates more affordable pricing than most other galleries.

The Starving Artist Art Gallery is located in “Ye old apple shed” – 2064 Huon Highway Grove Tasmania.
Located on the Huon Highway (A6) just a 25 minutes drive south of Hobart enroute to the Airwalk.
